Can I miss any days of yoga teacher training?

To receive your certificate of completion you must attend 100% of the classes to comply with the Yoga Alliance requirements.

Are you a Yoga Alliance Registered School?

Yes, One Flow Yoga is a Yoga Alliance Registered School in good standing.

Are books and materials included in the price of the training?

The costs of books are not included in the tuition.  They typically total less than $100.

When will I find out if I have been accepted into the program?

Upon receipt of your application, you will be contacted via e-mail within 2 weeks to let you know if you are officially accepted.

How much time is required for homework and other outside activities?

Homework typically takes 1-2 hours a week.  In addition there is daily meditation, (15 minutes), Seva (Service Project) 15 hours total, and practice teaching 30 min-1 hour weekly.

Why do I have to have studied with Kate for 5-months?

Different studios teach different ways.  Kate teaches Vinyasa Yoga which has a distinct emphasis in comparison to many studios in Sacramento that teach a “Power Yoga”, “Baptiste” influenced style.  The five months requirement also allows Kate to see and learn your practice.

What should I look for in evaluating a Sacramento Yoga Teacher Training Program?

We recommend you look for a teacher who speaks directly to you and that you resonate with.  Very often students seek out programs merely because of the training schedule but just like yoga classes at one yoga studio are different from another, so too are yoga teacher training programs.

Study with a teacher who has experience in leading yoga teacher training programs and has taught several thousand classes over many years.  Notice if they are kind and loving.

Also, look at other teachers who have come from the program.  How do they teach?

Will I be a certified yoga teacher?

No.  There is no such thing as a “certified yoga teacher”.  There is a national organization called the Yoga Alliance” which “registers” teachers.  You will be able to register with the Yoga Alliance after receiving your certificate of completion.

Will I be able to teach after completing Teacher Training?

Yes.  By successfully completing all of the requirements for One Flow Yoga’s Teacher Training Program you will receive your certificate of completion at the 200-Hour Level.  You may also register with the Yoga Alliance as a RYT-200, which is the minimum amount studios, gyms, and others look for when hiring yoga teachers.
